Jim Tritschler
Optical Specialist (Owner)
Jim has been an optical specialist for over 50 years. Originating from Canada and setting up T&S in 1974. Jim believes in the old philosophy, “you treat people the way you would want to be treated”. He knows a lot about the optical industry, although if you asked him he would tell you he knows a lot more about fishing.
Anthony Galbraith
Optical Specialist
Anthony has been in the optical industry for over 35 years. Having spent much of his time in lens labs and education. He also has extensive experience in helping patients find the perfect eyewear. Anthony is dedicated to providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that each patient leaves our clinic with the best possible vision and a smile on their face.
Steve Stone
Optometrist
Steve qualified as an optometrist from Glasgow in 1986. Initially a partner in three practices in North Yorkshire, he relocated to Christchurch in 2003. He has extensive experience working in independent, corporate and public health environments. Steve is committed to helping his patients achieve their best vision. He is interested in the ageing eye and can advise and treat many common conditions, including dry eye. In his spare time, he volunteers for Hato Hone St John.
Corrine Christian
Optometrist
Corrine became interested in eyes and the optical system after watching a Fred Hollows documentary at 14. She worked in regional Australia and then returned to New Zealand in 2017. Working in remote areas has given her experience with many ocular conditions and injuries. Corrine enjoys learning about her patients and finding the best solutions for their visual needs. "I look forward to working with such an experienced and caring team."
Gina Davey
Receptionist / Practice Manager
Gina brings her bubbly and vibrant personality to the team. Often sweeping up after the boys and ensuring the practice works like a well-oiled machine. One thing is for sure: Gina loves people and will always go the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction.
